These beautiful handwoven cushion covers are created from 100% handwoven cotton in a variety of fabrics – stripe, plain and slub. The patterns are woven into the fabric using traditional handweaving techniques, in a rural co-operative creating livelihoods for marginalised workers. The spinning and weaving processes used are virtually carbon free – powered by hand or solar. All workers are treated and paid fairly, as you would wish them to be.
The cushion covers are sewn by Rasikbhai, a master tailor who often sews for us via our social enterprise production partner Moral Fibre Fabrics. You can order the cushion covers singly or as a set of 4.
Our pre-order model cuts down production and packaging waste as well as reducing the carbon used in transportation. We will need to have orders of 25 cushion covers to run a production – get in touch if you’d like an indication of timescales.
The cushion covers fit a standard cushion insert of 41 cm by 41 cm and are machine washable. Cushion insert not provided.
