Handwoven Khadi Cotton Bag

Introducing our new organic shoulder bag!  These beautiful, natural bags are strong and practical – a cross between a tote and a messenger.

Created from unbleached, certified organic cotton grown in India which was then spun, woven and printed by hand, your organic shoulder bag is sustainable and eco-friendly – the production was virtually carbon free!

The fabric for your organic bag was created in by workers in a khadi fair trade co-operative, set up by Gandhi to create livelihoods for marginalised rural workers, especially women.  The bags were sewn by physically challenged master tailors and printed in a Gujarati artisan workshop.

There are two slogans available: ‘I’m an ethical old bag!’ and ‘Buy Less Choose Kindness’.  Each bag is 40cm high and 36cm wide with a gusset depth of 10cm – really roomy!
