Joanna Lumley wears Elephant Scarf

One of our proudest moments was back in 2017 when the wonderful Joanna Lumley wore one of our Where Does It Come From? elephant print scarves when tracking elephants in India.

The scarf she wore celebrates elephants, nature and people – right back to the fibre.

The fabric was 100% khadi cotton, spun and woven by hand at a rural co-operative @khadi_udyogbharti in Gujarat India. This co-operative focuses on supporting rural artisans, especially women and protecting heritage skills.

The scarf was created with our long term partners at @moralfibrefabrics , dyed and blockprinted by hand by their artisan teams.

Watch a video of Joanna wearing our scarf on Youtube – doesn’t she look fabulous?

Joanna also sent us a review of the scarf – she said

‘”This enchanting elephant scarf is now my favourite.”

This was one of the highlights of our almost 10 years – who better to model our scarf?

This particular design not surprisingly sold out after Joanna wore it, but we have two other elephant designs available – our pink elephant scarf and our blue green elephant scarf.

The creation story of Joanna Lumley’s elephant scarf (and all our products) is available in our trace pages.
